There are two ways to describe Kyle Busch winning both the truck and Nationwide race at Auto Club yesterday:
– A tremendous achievement;
– No one cares.
Perhaps if the races had been at least a smidgen competitive. However, in each case Busch immediately assumed the lead and that was that. No knock against his driving ability, when when you’ve got the vehicle that’s clearly the class of the field how much of an accomplishment is there to be found in what the driver did?
Here’s hoping today’s Sprint Cup race is far, far better.

WHOOOPEE !! Again – - a big league driver, with a big league budget, crew , and car, drops down to the minors – and is PROUD? -of winning against the “little league” ????? – – I can beat up MY little brother, too but – - That is NOT an “accomplishment” that I could EVER be proud of !!!
I likened it to Kobe Bryant scoring 50 points in an NCAA game. Just because an announcer or writer tags something as “history” doesn’t mean it is. Busch flew all over the country last year and drove in three races. Big deal.
