I have been reading your blog for about 5 or 6 years now.
Just wanted to say that JD has absolutely not one clue about what he writes. Since I would rather read your blog than waste time writing to him, guess I won’t be crying in my beer when he doesn’t take time to respond back.
Love the stuff you write and no matter how many hits you may or may not need (think Yahoo ad revenue), there is always a group of us in PA. that will forever be loyal readers.
You bring an insight to NASCAR that not many can duplicate, but is always greatly appreciated. Thanks again for being one of the best!!!

So let me get this straight. This is a blog which criticizes and critiques other blogs??? And one of those you call out you do so for criticizing and critiquing TV coverage? Followed a link over here not knowing I’d be neck deep in hypocrisy. Don’t think I’ll bookmark this site. At least Daly’s blogs seem to have some effort in them. No need to go attacking others just because you can’t think of anything useful, or worth a persons time to read, to write about.

A blog’s success isn’t measured by site hits, but I wouldn’t expect you to comprehend such subtleties. If all we were after was traffic we’d post ten times a day and run as many photos of Danica plus driver’s wives and/or girlfriends as we could scrape up. It’s the formula for popularity.

It’s no knock against JB to say he has to do what he does. Yahoo lives and dies on its ad revenue. By its own numbers the company has some 13,600 employees. That’s a lot of paychecks to write. You’d better have some income to cover them.

Ad revenue is wholly dependent on traffic. It’s a tad difficult to charge much for ads no one’s reading. Therefore, you go for the lowest common denominator in order to reach the widest possible audience. Which since it includes you is obviously working quite well. Fortunately for Yahoo, JB is able to slip some quality amidst the dross.

He does his thing, I do mine, and I don’t mind he’s got the larger readership. That’s not my goal in life. Neither is it wasting any more time than I already have explaining this to class clowns with such witty e-mail addresses as “fsusucks.” With that in mind, thus ends this note.
